LinkedIn for Business: Use Your Company Page To Grow
Social Media Marketing

One of the most underrated tools for growing and promoting your business is LinkedIn. While each social media platform has its own perks and is tailored toward a different audience, LinkedIn was created with the intent to connect individuals within the workforce as well as businesses with one another.
Your company page on LinkedIn could be the key to success when promoting your business online. Let’s explore the importance of LinkedIn and what it takes to use your company page to grow.
Be Consistent
When creating a presence on a new platform, it’s important to create a schedule and stick to it. If you start by posting three times per week and then drop off the face of the earth, your followers will forget about your brand and find you not credible. Make sure you’re posting consistently, even if that means posting once per week.
Another place it’s important to find consistency is in responding to comments. When connections or even non-connections comment on your post or tag you in a comment, it’s important to take time to respond. If you have a lot of interaction, it’s not always plausible, but whenever you can take time to respond to comments, it adds a personal touch to your brand that individuals and businesses alike appreciate.
Encourage Interaction
Be sure to have a call-to-action in each of your posts. This could simply be directing someone to your website. However, it’s good to be creative too! Implement interactive posts like trivia and polls, or simply ask them to like the post if they agree with it. Encouraging interaction engages users and gives them something to remember about your company.
Use Hashtags
While hashtags may seem like they serve no purpose on a business platform, they actually do. If someone is searching for companies in your industry and they search for a common industry word, your post may come up if you use that word as a hashtag.
For example, imagine you’re a dog grooming business and you add #DogGrooming to your post. Then, if someone searches #DogGrooming in the search bar, your business is more likely to pop up since you used the tag. Tags aren’t just a fun addition to a post, they actually expand your reach.
Connect With Employees
If your employees have LinkedIn, encourage them to connect with your business on LinkedIn. This shows they’re proud to be part of your business and allows them to share your posts to their platforms too, thus increasing your overall reach.
Collaborate Generously
Search for opportunities that allow you to collaborate with other organizations within your industry. From joining LinkedIn Groups to sharing content of another business to collaborating with an organization on new content, the possibilities for generous collaboration are endless.
If you’re looking to reach a wider audience and increase your credibility and visibility, collaboration is your best bet. Plus, it can also lead to mutual follower growth for all companies involved.
Create Captivating Graphics
While posts with only text can be effective at times, it’s proven that posts that include a photo or other type of graphic are twice as likely to be interacted with. Text-only posts are easily overlooked since there’s nothing to catch your eye immediately. Be sure to include related photos or graphics so your audience will see and interact with your content.
