Social Media & Content Writing Intern

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support our social media and content creation and help us continue delivering consistent, creative results for our clients.

Position Overview

As a Social Media & Content Writing Intern, you will support our Social Media Strategist by assisting with day-to-day content creation and execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, is interested in social media strategy, and wants hands-on experience working on real client accounts.

This position is primarily writing-focused, with opportunities to assist in short-form video creation and editing. While video skills are not required, candidates who are comfortable recording and editing short clips with tools like CapCut will be considered as strong contenders for this position.

This role will be primarily in-office, with some flexibility depending on projects and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Content Writing Support:
  • Assist with writing and editing social media captions for client accounts
  • Help draft blog posts, website copy, and other written content as needed
  • Ensure content aligns with each client’s brand voice, tone, and marketing goals
• Social Media Assistance:
  • Support the creation and scheduling of social media posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Assist with organizing content calendars and meeting deadlines
  • Help with basic performance tracking and reporting
• Video & Visual Content (Nice to Have):
  • Assist with recording short-form video clips for select clients
  • Edit short videos using tools such as CapCut or similar software
  • Help repurpose video and visual content for social media use
• Collaboration & Workflow Support:
  • Work closely with the Social Media Strategist and internal team to support content execution
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and internal meetings
  • Help keep content organized and documented
• Trend Monitoring:
  • Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and content formats
  • Share ideas for improving engagement and content efficiency

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a related field (Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or similar)
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines
• Comfortable receiving feedback and revising content
• Creative, organized, and detail-oriented

Nice to Haves (Not Required):

• Basic video editing experience (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar)
• Comfort recording short video clips or assisting with on-site content capture
• Familiarity with social media scheduling or content management tools

Schedule

• 12-week internship with flexible start and end dates
• Approximately 20–30 hours per week
• Primarily on-site at our Warsaw, Indiana office, with some flexibility as projects allow

Experience Needed

• Previous experience with writing, blogging, or social media is highly beneficial
• A portfolio or writing samples will be requested (academic, personal, or professional work is acceptable)

Compensation and Benefits

• $12-15/hour – Depending on experience
• Up to 7 unpaid days of leave during the internship (no paid holidays)
