Life is busy!
When you’re running your business, you likely don’t have time to create new blogs and website content on a consistent schedule.
The good news is that you don’t always need to create something new. You can repurpose old blog content in new ways to get the results you need.
More often than not, you have quality content waiting to be reused in your old blog posts. You can use these tips to repurpose old blog content into new opportunities to engage your audience and attract new business.
Update Your Information
Any blog you repurpose should be evergreen, meaning its topic is timeless. But some of the information may not always be relevant. You’ll need to go through and update any outdated information.
Boost your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Just like some of your information was outdated, the keywords you used the first time you published that blog post might not be as valuable or relevant now.
Choose and add new keywords that have a better chance of attracting potential customers to your website. This is key to boosting your audience and getting your blog content to show up in search engine results.
Link to Other Reputable Website Pages
Add links to blog posts and web pages about similar topics. This will invite viewers to view other pages and potentially get them interested in other services on your website.
The more they click on other pages, the more they learn about who you are and what you can do for them.
Post on Social Media
If a blog doesn’t need revisions, one helpful way to attract new readers is to post it on your social media platforms.
You can encourage conversation about your blog in the comments or create quizzes to test your readers’ knowledge on the topic.
The more engaging your social media content is, the more readers will want to learn more by clicking the link to your blog.
Use a Guest Post
If you’ve already written a blog post about a popular topic and want to highlight that subject again, invite a guest to write a blog for you.
Their new perspective will provide a different outlook on the same topic without you having to write something new.
If your guest blogger has a following of their own, they can also share the link to your blog on their social medial channels to guide new readers to your website.
Try a New Format
When your old content is still good but the execution falls flat, try switching up the format.
For example, turn a Q&A into a blog, write separate blogs about each item in a list article, do a photo blog, or turn written blog content into podcasts, videos, or infographics.
